5.4 Downloading Sales History Reports
Users with pos.sales.view and pos.sales.export can download every sale matching the current filters:
- Go to Sidebar > Sales > Sales History.
- Apply the date, status, location, and customer filters you need.
- Review the matching-record count under Reports & Downloads.
- Choose PDF for a readable management summary or Excel for transaction-level analysis.
The PDF separates totals by currency and includes the applied filters. Excel includes Summary, Sales, Line Items, Payments, and Returns sheets. Downloads include every matching record, not only the visible page. A PDF is limited to 1,000 sales, and the largest Excel detail sheet is limited to 100,000 rows; use narrower filters when a limit is reached.
To download one sale, open its detail page and use Download. The individual sale PDF and Excel include every informational value displayed on the detail page: sale number, date, status, cashier, register, location, notes, customer and displayed phone, credit state and due information, immutable product and SKU snapshots, serials, quantities, prices, discounts, tax, totals, payment methods and references, tendered and change amounts, returns, and void details.
The detailed export uses a readable report layout and structured workbook sheets rather than copying the screen pixels. A management download is not a customer receipt. Receipt remains the separate customer-facing thermal document.
POS Supervisors and POS Managers can export by default. POS Cashiers can view sales history but cannot download management reports unless an owner grants a custom export permission.
