POS users are linked to business users, but they operate with their own 4-digit PIN and POS role profile.

10.1 Viewing POS Users

  1. Go to Sidebar > Administration > POS Users
  2. View all POS users with their roles and status
  3. Filter by role or status

10.2 Creating a POS User

  1. Click Add POS User
  2. Select the Business User to link
  3. Assign a POS Role:
    • Cashier — Can process sales, view basic reports
    • Supervisor — Can approve returns, overrides, voids, and manage cashiers
    • Owner — Full access to all POS features
    • Stock Clerk — Inventory-adjacent operational access used in stock-heavy environments
    • Pharmacist — Available when the Pharmacy module is enabled
    • Waiter / Server — Available when the Restaurant module is enabled
    • Kitchen Staff — Available when the Restaurant module is enabled
  4. Set a 4-digit PIN for register login
  5. Assign Locations the user can access
  6. Click Save

10.3 Resetting a PIN

  1. Go to the POS user edit page
  2. Click Reset PIN
  3. Enter the new 4-digit PIN
  4. Save the new PIN

10.4 Supervisor PIN Verification

Certain actions require a supervisor PIN:

  • Voiding a sale
  • Approving a return above the refund limit
  • Applying a discount above the cashier limit
  • Overriding tax treatment on an item

The supervisor enters their PIN, and a short-lived session proof (5 minutes) is issued to prevent tampering.
