Transfer stock between locations with a multi-step workflow that tracks goods from source to destination.

Transfer Workflow

Draft → Shipped → Received Draft → Cancelled

Creating a Transfer

  1. Navigate to Transfers → Create.
  2. Select the from location (source) and to location (destination). They must be different.
  3. Add products with quantities to transfer.
  4. For serialized products, enter the specific serial numbers to transfer (count must match quantity).
  5. Set the transfer date and optional expected date.
  6. Add notes if needed.
  7. Click Save (creates as Draft status).

Shipping a Transfer

  1. Open the transfer and click Ship.
  2. Stock is deducted from the source location immediately.
  3. The operational status becomes In Transit, while the lifecycle rail shows Shipped to describe the completed action.

Receiving a Transfer

  1. Open the in-transit transfer and click Receive.
  2. Stock is added to the destination location.
  3. Status changes to Received.

Cancelling a Transfer

You can only cancel transfers in Draft or Pending status. Once shipped, a transfer must be received or remains in transit.

Transfer Numbers

Transfer numbers are auto-generated in the format TRF00001, TRF00002, etc.
