Portal access is separate from team membership and does not consume a normal business-user seat. From the employee profile, send an invitation to a verified email address. The employee signs in with central client authentication and accepts the invitation before access becomes active.
An employee can be both a portal user and a normal team member. The portal remains limited to the linked employee’s contact details, leave, contracts, shared documents, employee-visible tasks, profile-change requests, and posted payslips when Payroll is enabled.
HR can revoke portal access without terminating the employee or deleting history. Review pending sensitive-change requests carefully: legal-name and government-ID changes can update HR after approval, while approved bank and statutory requests are handed to Payroll for verified application.
