Variance Report

The variance report focuses on exceptions from an audit:

• Missing assets.
• Damaged assets.
• Unexpected assets.
• Location mismatches.
• Custodian mismatches where the observed custodian differs from the audit snapshot.

Use this screen for follow-up work with custodians, location owners, and finance. An authorized approver can accept a scanned custodian transfer only when the line contains a real custodian variance. Rescanning a resolved line reopens the resolution so new evidence cannot bypass approval.

Expected result: every exception has evidence, an accountable owner, and either a recorded resolution or a clear follow-up action.

Export CSV

Use Export CSV from the variance report to download exception lines. The CSV includes audit number, audit name, asset number, asset name, QR code, expected location, scanned location, status, variance types, condition, notes, scanned timestamp, scanner identity, and unexpected flag.

Clean found lines are excluded from the export so the file stays focused on follow-up work.
