The Restaurant POS service workspace is the main operating screen for waiters, cashiers, and supervisors.

6.1 Opening Service

  1. Confirm the POS register and shift are open.
  2. Open Restaurant > Restaurant POS or click Open Sell Page from the dashboard.
  3. Choose the active register where prompted.
  4. Open a dine-in check, takeaway, delivery order, or bar tab.

6.2 Checks and Orders

Use checks/orders to hold the guest's items until billing:

  • Assign a waiter.
  • Select or change the table.
  • Add menu items and modifiers.
  • Add preparation notes.
  • Move items between seats when split service is required.
  • Cancel an item with a reason when permitted.

6.3 Bar Tabs

Bar tabs are open customer accounts during service.

  1. Open a tab from Restaurant POS or Restaurant > Bar Tabs.
  2. Add items through the service flow.
  3. Transfer the tab where needed.
  4. Close the tab when the guest settles.
