Registers represent your physical POS terminals or stations. Each register tracks its own shift history and transaction flow.
2.1 Viewing Registers
- Go to Sidebar > Sales > Registers
- View all registers with their status (active/inactive)
- Filter by location or status
2.2 Creating a Register
- Go to Registers > Create Register
- Enter the register name (e.g. "Counter 1")
- Select the Location (from Inventory locations)
- Assign a register number
- Click Save
2.3 Editing a Register
- Click a register to view its details
- Click Edit
- Update name, location, or active status
- Click Save
2.4 Register Details
The register detail page shows:
- Register information (name, number, location)
- Current shift status (open/closed)
- Recent shift history with opening/closing cash and variance
