Integration with Other Modules

14.1 Inventory Integration

The POS module relies on the Inventory module for:

• Product Catalog — Products sold through POS come from the Inventory product catalog
• Stock Levels — The sell screen shows available stock per location
• Stock Deduction — Completing a sale automatically deducts inventory
• Stock Restoration — Voiding a sale or processing a return restores inventory
• Locations — Registers are assigned to Inventory locations

14.2 Accounting Integration

When the Accounting module is enabled and accounting posting is configured:

• GL Entries — Sales, tax collected, discounts, and payment methods are posted to the General Ledger
• Posting Mode — Shift close summary posts one journal per closed shift
• Audit Trail — Each posting is recorded with timestamp and user

14.3 Pharmacy Integration

When the Pharmacy module is enabled:

• The sell screen validates pharmacy compliance before completing sales
• Prescription requirements are enforced for controlled drugs
• Dispensing logs are created automatically
• Emergency overrides are logged for audit
