19.2 Questions
Why is the unit cost different from the recipe estimate? The estimate uses today's average costs and the recipe hours. The batch uses actual issues, logged hours, actual good units, abnormal loss, by-products and the month's overhead rate. What it cost explains each difference.
Why can't the till sell a batch we just finished? It is on quality or cure hold, under recall, or the order is only partly done and its output is awaiting costing. Open the batch in Quality and recalls or finish the order.
Why does my order say Waiting for materials after it was planned? A stock count, adjustment or write-off showed that held material was missing. Receive the stock, then click Check stock again.
We switched Accounting on. Why are old batches not in the ledger? Work recorded while Accounting was off is kept in Manufacturing only and is never replayed. Book any opening balances through Accounting.
A posting failed. Should I post the journal by hand? No. Correct the cause and click Retry posting. A second manual journal would count the cost twice.
Can I change a recipe while an order is running? Yes. Save a new version. Running and planned orders keep their version.
Can the person who made a batch release it? No. Not even the owner can release a batch they recorded output or work on.
A phone shows records that need review. What now? Open Saved records, read the message and ask the office to review it. Do not record the same work again.
Why is there no overhead on my batches? Normal monthly output is not set in Settings, so the overhead rate is GH₵0.00.
