The Asset Register is the live list of all tracked assets. Use it to search, filter, inspect lifecycle status, and open asset records.

Register Filters

Use filters when the list becomes large:

  • Search — asset number, asset name, QR code, or serial number.
  • Lifecycle — draft, active, under maintenance, held for disposal, or disposed. Impairment is a financial condition shown on the asset rather than a freely editable status.
  • Kind — tangible or intangible.
  • Category — IFRS-aligned asset grouping.
  • Custodian — assigned business user responsible for the asset.
  • Location — physical or operational location.

The register keeps QR and location visible in the table so field teams can verify an asset without opening every record.

Expected result: opening an asset from the register shows one workspace containing its financial position, custody chain, maintenance history, audits, documents, and activity.

Lifecycle Statuses

Status Meaning Typical Next Action
Draft Asset is registered but not capitalized Complete required values and capitalize
Active Asset is capitalized and in service Include in audits, maintenance, and depreciation
Under Maintenance Asset is being serviced Track work order until completion
Impairment condition An active asset has a recorded impairment balance Review recoverable amount or record a capped reversal
Held for Disposal Asset is measured for disposal and depreciation has stopped Complete sale, scrap, donation, loss, or other disposal
Disposed Asset is no longer in service Keep historical record for reporting

The intended lifecycle rail is:

Draft → Ready to capitalize → Capitalized → Depreciating → Exception
