SikaBooks generates accounting and compliance reports from posted data.

Where to find it: Sidebar > Reports

Core financial statements support PDF and Excel export. Some tax and audit outputs provide PDF or CSV export. Aging and FX screens should be treated as on-screen analysis views unless an export button is shown on that page.

12.1 General Ledger

Shows transactions for a selected account over a date range. Supports PDF and Excel export.

12.2 Trial Balance

Shows debit and credit balances as of a selected date. Supports PDF and Excel export.

12.3 Balance Sheet

Shows assets, liabilities, and equity at a point in time. Supports PDF and Excel export.

Accumulated depreciation and net carrying amount

Accumulated depreciation and accumulated amortization are contra-asset balances. The Statement of Financial Position shows them as deductions, normally with a Less: label and parentheses, and includes their signed value in the asset subtotal:

Asset cost - accumulated depreciation = net carrying amount

For example, a GHS 300,000 vehicle cost and GHS 5,000 accumulated depreciation produce a GHS 295,000 net carrying amount, not GHS 305,000. The same presentation applies to vehicles, equipment, furniture, computers, buildings, and other fixed-asset classes with a mapped contra account.

This reporting treatment does not change the depreciation journal. The posting remains a debit to depreciation expense and a credit to accumulated depreciation. If the report adds a contra balance instead of deducting it, review the account's contra classification and the source journal before making any correction.

12.4 Income Statement

Shows revenue, expenses, and profit/loss for a date range. Supports PDF and Excel export.

12.5 Statement of Changes in Equity

Shows opening, movement, and closing equity balances. Supports PDF and Excel export.

12.6 Cash Flow Statement

Shows operating, investing, and financing cash flows. Supports PDF and Excel export.

12.7 AR Aging Report

Shows open customer balances by aging bucket.

12.8 AP Aging Report

Shows open vendor balances by aging bucket, including payable exposure.

12.9 FX Exposure

Shows open foreign-currency invoices, bills, and bank accounts that still expose the business to exchange-rate movements.

12.10 Tax Reports

The reports area also includes:

  • Tax Liability
  • Tax Summary
  • Tax By Jurisdiction
  • Tax Exemptions
  • Customer WHT Credits

12.11 Project Profitability

When Projects is enabled, the Projects workspace includes a profitability report that compares base-currency revenue, expense, profit, outstanding revenue, and outstanding expense by project. The report supports filtering by project/customer context and CSV export.
