Integration with Other Modules

The background integration below continues for authorised dispensing and sale events even when the current user cannot open the connected Inventory or Accounting workspace. Restrict the user's visibility, not the system's controlled stock and posting flow.

9.1 Inventory Integration

• Product Linking — Each drug in the catalog links to an Inventory product (must be batch-tracked)
• Batch Tracking — Expiry dates come from Inventory product batches
• Stock Levels — Available stock is checked during dispensing
• FEFO — First Expiry, First Out principle is followed for batch allocation

9.2 POS Integration

• Sell Screen — Pharmacy validation runs automatically when pharmacy products are in the cart
• Dispensing — Dispensing log entries are created after POS sale completion
• Returns — Sale voids/returns create reversal entries in the dispensing log
• Supervisor PIN — POS supervisor PIN verification is used for emergency overrides

9.3 Accounting Integration

When the Accounting module is enabled:

• Pharmacy sales flow through POS accounting posting
• Revenue is posted to the General Ledger per the POS posting configuration
