Understand businesses and modules

A business is an isolated workspace for one organisation. Its users, settings, transactions, and operational records are kept separate from other businesses you can access.

Use Business Home to see the workspace summary. The module rail switches between enabled areas such as Accounting, Inventory, Payroll, CRM, Point of Sale, Restaurant, Pharmacy, Procurement, Documents, Assets, and Human Resources.

Workspace access and functional permissions

A business licence enables the application for the tenant. A separate workspace permission decides whether an individual can open that application, and functional permissions decide what the person can view or change inside it. For example, a POS Supervisor can work in POS without seeing Accounting or Inventory.

Background integration continues even when the user cannot open the connected workspace. A permitted POS sale can still reduce Inventory and create the configured Accounting entry because the system integration runs under its own controls. Restricting the user does not disconnect the modules.

Business Home, the module rail, Quick Create, search, recent pages, favourites, manuals, and notifications are filtered through the current user's workspace and functional permissions. Opening a denied module URL directly returns a dedicated HTTP 403 page with the denied workspace, allowed workspaces, request ID, and guidance to contact the business owner.
